Letter from School Leadership
Welcome to Our Lady of Hope/St. Luke School. Visiting our website not only provides a snapshot of our school community, but an opportunity for you to learn more about our school family, challenging curriculum, student achievement and the vibrant spirit of our school.
Our Lady of Hope/St. Luke School celebrates a proud history in the Dundalk area of southeast Baltimore County. Opening in 1954, a continuous Catholic education has been provided for the children in the Dundalk-Edgemere area and beyond. Our school’s mission, “to educate the whole child” is linked to the mission and ministry of the School Sisters of Notre Dame, whose presence continues today.
We believe that it is the combination of inquisitive students, supportive parents and guardians, and a dedicated qualified faculty and staff which enables OLH/SLS to provide students with a positive educational experience. A balanced program of spiritual, moral, intellectual, social and physical development enables students to become their best selves. We strive to form one family believing that the family is the core of all education.
As a Catholic School we support the mission of the Our Lady of Hope/St. Luke Pastorate, to witness Christ’s presence by becoming his disciples in our community. We believe that we are called to serve and various service opportunities are provided for students and families.
I encourage you to browse our website and to visit us on Facebook to learn more about Our Lady of Hope/St. Luke School. You are always welcome to schedule a tour and experience the gift Our Lady of Hope/St. Luke School is to Catholic education, to our families, our church and the Archdiocese of Baltimore.
God Bless,
Sister Irene Pryle, SSND
