Academic Enrichment at OLHSL
Our Lady of Hope/St. Luke School is filled with many opportunities for our students to enrich their lives academically and spiritually! From field trips and service projects to the Opera, sharks and service dogs, academic enrichment opportunities abound for our students in all grade levels.
These activities broaden our students’ knowledge and make them aware of how we are all apart of God’s creation. By forging connections between what is taught in the classroom and real-world experiential activities, enrichment activities have the power to strengthen cognitive connections and increase students’ motivation to learn.
Here are a few examples of opportunities our students have experienced:
- Hippodrome Musical Theatre Summer Camp
- Animals Aloud
- Fire Safety
- Dundalk “Angels for our Troops”
- Pennies for Patients
- Souper Bowl
- Chick Fil A “Casey Cares” Pajama Drive
- The Lighting of the Labyrinth Johns Hopkins Bayview
- Johns Hopkins Tower of Power competition
- American Heart Association Jump Rope for Heart
- Battle of 1812 Presentation
