Our Lady of Hope

On January 17, 1871, Our Lady of Hope appeared in the French village of Pontmain.  There she revealed herself as the “Madonna of the Crucifix” and gave the world her message of “Hope through Prayer and the Cross”.

St. Luke the Evangelist

St. Luke came from Antioch, was a practicing physician and was one of the first converts to Christianity.  His gospel is principally concerned with salvation and mercy; in it are preserved some of our Lord’s most moving parables.  He accompanied St. Paul, who converted him, on his missionary journeys.  St. Luke’s feast day is October 18th.
